Dr. Hancock is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and is well trained in the management of cataracts, dry eyes, diabetic eye care, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and a wide variety of other ocular pathologies.
Dr. Hancock is originally from Houston, TX and attended Texas A&M University where he earned his undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology. He attended medical school at McGovern School of Medicine in Houston and completed his residency at the Long School of Medicine in San Antonio.
He performs cataract surgery along with microinvasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), a variety of laser surgeries such as selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) for glaucoma, panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) for diabetes, and LASIK or PRK for refractive error. He also offers intravitreal injections for diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration.
Dr. Hancock and his wife relocated to Arizona to be closer to family and further from humidity. He works hard to provide excellent eye care and aims to treat each patient like a family member. During his time away from work he enjoys being outdoors with his wife and dogs, running, tennis, exploring local breweries, and cooking.
